A swing-type check valve is a mechanical valve designed to allow fluid (liquid or gas) to flow in only one direction and automatically prevent backflow. It has a disc or flap mounted on a hinge or shaft inside the valve body. When fluid flows in the intended direction, the pressure pushes the disc open, allowing it to flow through the valve. If the flow stops or reverses, the disc swings back and closes against the seat, preventing backflow or reverse flow.
Check Valve Swing type
Swing-type check valves are often used in water and wastewater systems, sewage, gas pipelines, power plants, and other industrial processes where backflow prevention is critical. They operate manually, requiring no external power or manual intervention.
