The 2H hex nut is also known as the heavy hex nut—commonly used in heavy-duty applications. They have a larger size and higher strength than standard hex nuts. These help distribute the load over a larger surface and prevent damage to the surfaces the nut is tightened onto.
2H Hex Nut Hot-dipped Galvanized (Millimeter)
Specially designed with medium carbon steel, these hot-dipped galvanized 2H hex nuts fall under the ASTM A194 standards. They should only be used in high-pressure and high-temperature applications or where the advantages are fully realized. The 2H hex nut bears a clear mark on its fastener face, indicating the grade (2H).
