A tee nut (or T-nut or blind nut) is a fastener used primarily in woodworking and furniture assembly. Tee nuts have a long, thin body with a flange at one end that resembles a "T" shape. The flange often features prongs or hooks that grip into the material when the bolt is tightened, providing a secure hold. Tee nuts are inserted into pre-drilled holes in the materials. The prongs dig into the wood as the nut is tightened, preventing it from pulling out.

Tee nuts are commonly made from steel or stainless steel, adding to their strength and durability. They are often used in furniture construction to fasten components like shelves and drawers, allowing for a flush surface finish that conceals the fastener. They can also be used to secure fixtures and equipment.
