A uPVC sanitary P-trap is a plumbing fitting used in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. UPVC sanitary P-traps are made of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride, making them durable and corrosion-resistant.

It is called a "P-trap" because the shape of the fitting resembles the letter "P". It traps a small amount of water in the bend of the "P" shape, preventing sewer gases and smells from escaping into the room through the drain pipe. At the same time, it allows wastewater to flow through the trap and into the sewer system.
